1 Dead, 2 Seriously Hurt In Fairfax County Crash: Police

A 72-year-old woman was killed in a weekend crash in Fairfax County, police said.

The driver of a 2006 Lexus RX330I attempted a left turn from Bradfield Drive onto westbound Braddock Road in Annandale, around 9:40 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, Fairfax County police said.

The driver of the Lexus turned in front of the driver of a 2024 BMW X6 who was traveling eastbound on Braddock Road, resulting in the crash. 

 The Lexus had five occupants and BMW had two occupants. All were taken to the hospital. Three had injuries considered to be life-threatening.

One of the Lexus passengers, Yun Hu, of Annandale was pronounced dead at the hospital. Two passengers remain hospitalized. The other four passengers were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released from the hospital a short time later. 

Speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who may have information about this case.
